Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups oats
- 2tbs each
- Sunflower seeds
- Pepita seeds
- Chia seeds
- Flax seeds
- 1 cup hot water
- 1tbs melted butter
Method
- Add 1 cup of oats to a blender and plus into a flour.
- Then add in water melted butter and seeds and blend until it comes together then add in remaining oats and plus to combine
- Once combined, take out and roll between 2 pieces of baking paper until 5mm – 10mm thick.
- Once rolled cut into any shape you like and bake for 30 mins at 180 degrees until firm to touch.
Alternatives / Extras
Butter – Change the melted butter for a dairy free vegan alternative.
Nutlex, coconut oil or a oil of choice
Seeds and grains – Add in sesame seeds, quinoa, hemp hearts, millet, buckwheat grout or any type of nuts if you have no allergies if added nuts add in after you make oats into a flour and pulse them until ruffly the size of pepita seeds.
Change 1/2 cup oats for
Quinoa flakes or rice bran flakes
Make them sweet by adding in 2tbs maple syrup honey or a sweetener of choice
Chopped dates, sultanas, chopped apricots, raisins, cranberries, chopped dried figs or currents shredded or dessicated coconut
1-2tsp Mixed spice, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, all spice, nutmeg or clove.
Or keep savoury by adding one or more of
1tsp garlic, paprika, rosemary, sage, Parsley
2tbs Parmesan cheese or finely grated tasty cheese
