About Us

Red Apple is a small family-friendly early learning centre. We commenced operations in February 2009 with Red Apple Vermont then we opened Red Apple Balwyn North a year later in February 2010.
Both Red Apple centres run in accordance with the National Quality Framework with a focus on developing strong self-esteem, resilience and learning capacity. We offer both child care and a funded kindergarten program.
Red Apple is open to children from three months to school age. We pride ourselves in providing an educational program where children learn through play, in close collaboration with families and the local community.
We embrace all cultures and enjoy learning about our different families. We believe this is important for children to develop their sense of identity and belonging.
At Red Apple, we are proud of our family-like culture. We never use an agency person to fill educator roles. In case of last-minute changes, we always use existing Red Apple staff the children are familiar with.
Over the years, we\’ve seen that what sets us apart is our well-settled children, high staff retention, and connection with the community.
Meet Our Directors
The people behind Red Apple are all highly experienced and passionate about providing quality childcare.
Jo Di Falco has been working with children for 35 years. Together with the owners of Red Apple, she has been integral in the development of both our Red Apple centres. Jo believes that quality childcare is all about the relationship between children, educators and parents. All children and their families should be treated as individuals and respected for their beliefs.
Alison heads Red Apple Vermont. She has been working in the Early Childhood Sector for over 13 years and has been a member of the Red Apple management team for four years. Alison is a great believer that learning through play is the greatest thing for children. She welcomes feedback from parents and is always delighted to assist you on your childcare journey.
Our director at Red Apple Balwyn is Emma Di Falco. Emma has been working in Early Childhood Education for 10 years and has been working at Red Apple for six years. Emma believes that each child should be treated as an individual. Children learn through meaningful interactions and play-based activities, a key foundation at all Red Apple centres.
